Building Survey
The Building Survey (formerly called a Structural Survey) is a report suitable for all types of residential properties and provides a detailed report on the structure and condition of the building.
The report is tailored to suit a client's individual needs. This type of survey is predominantly undertaken on larger and older properties, or those that have been significantly altered or extended. Properties in poor condition requiring extensive repair or renovation are also suited to this type of report.
It includes a detailed visual inspection of all the elements of the fabric of the building and inspection of all the service installations. The site is also inspected in detail as are the principal outbuildings.
The result is a comprehensive, traditional report on the design and construction of the building. It also gives guidance on any necessary or recommended remedial works, items that require further investigation and matters noted for the attention of your conveyancer.
This report also gives direction as to which matters should be drawn to the attention of your conveyancer or legal advisers. The Report can include a reinstatement cost assessment if required.
